Not to be undone by other excellent entries in the web-client space such as Seesmic Web and Brizzly, Twitter has been stepping up their game as of late, attempting to keep web users on their site. The latest entry to their feature set is Hovercards.
Users will soon be able to interact with one another without having to head to another users page. Simply hovering over another user's username will produce a hovering card displaying their Twitter vitals, and will even allow for a reply, DM, follow, or turn notifications on/off directly within the card, negating the need to head to the user's page.
The rollout is happening now, but in traditional Twitter fashion, they're pushing it in batches, so not everyone will get it right way. Keep an eye out and let us know if you've got Hovercards and what you think.
