iPad Jailbreak Achieved 24hrs After Launch

That did not take long at all. As we talked about last week, the iPhone untethered jailbreak meant that the iPad jailbreak couldn't be far off. Lo and behold, here we have a video of one fine sir doing just that. Of course, this isn't an untethered jailbreak, but he is logging onto the device via the mac, and it does mean something more usable might be right around the corner. I wouldn't get an iPad unless I knew I could jailbreak it, but even then, I really shouldn't have to. We'll see what kinds of things Apple has in store for us this Thursday at the iPhone OS 4.0 event.

Second Computer-Free Jailbreak Achieved

For the second time, an untethered iPhone jailbreak has been achieved. This time, it's on an iPod touch, but still without a computer. The first time this happened earlier this month created high hopes that an iPad jailbreak would be just as simple. With two successful examples, it's looking more promising that an iPad jailbreak may be available at or near launch.
