Twitter Begins To Roll Out Location-Aware Trends

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Location-Awareness is HUGE right now. Twitter has started to roll out a new feature to select users. This time around, they're pushing location-aware trends. Not everyone has gotten the new feature yet (myself included), but Twitter has confirmed it's happening. What's exciting is that Twitter has also announced that there will be an API available, so we don't all have to keep going to the Twitter homepage to see local trends. Once developers bake the feature into their products, we'll be able to get this data from our favorite client.
